For your MMS issue there is 2 ways to fix it 1st one worked for most but some say it didnt. 2nd one worked for all who tried but is a little of a pain... you need to have APN Backup & restore (For both methods) & a copy of EE3 (for second Method)

If the first method doesn't work for you for whatever reason, go to step 2, I know the second method always works...

1st method--
Download the zip file I attached below and put the unzipped files in the APNBackup&Restore folder then restart phone. Now use APN to delete all apns then restore the apn ones I provided. Restart phone and try a message.

2nd Method--
Flash your phone with ee3 & skip the setup process except for your google account. Now go to the market and download APN and install. Bakup the apns and save them to memory card and PC as well (Just in case you need to format card again)

Once they are saved, relash EE4 (remember to wipe system & davlik) & go thru setup process.
Now install APN and delete apns from EE4 then restore apns from the EE3 backup you made. Once done reboot phone and you should be good to go..

* APN Files.zip (0.86 KB - downloaded 340 times.)

All of a sudden today I stopped receiving texts.  I've been flashing new Roms so I thought a Nand restore would fix the issue but it hasn't.  I text a lot so this is an unacceptable issue that I need to correct as quickly as possible.  Please help!

Did you go to setting to make sure your setting are set up to auto receive? Try handcent also in the market.

I am set to auto-receive and I was using Handcent when the problem started so I uninstalled and we back to stock messaging.  No luck.

The problem was my APNs.  In case anyone else has this problem, I'll share the fix I found in XDA forums.

1. Boot into recovery and make a nandroid backup.

2. Download a ROM with the correct APN files, like Plain Jane (basically a stock ROM with root). One version of Plain Jane can be found here:

http://ip208-100-42-21.static.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=718092/

3. Do a full data wipe in recovery and then install the Plain Jane ROM.

4. Reboot into the new ROM.

5. Make sure 3G and Sync is on and you should get all your missed text messages, once everything is finished syncing.

6. On the market, grab the app "APN Backup & Restore".

7. Run APN Backup & Restore and bachup your APNs. The app will create a folder on you SD card with the APN files. Hold on to those files and if you wipe your SD, make sure you back them up somewhere.

8. Then you can restore to your nandroid backup or load any other ROM. The just run "APN Backup & Restore" and restore you APNs.

Hi!  I just purchased this phone and am also having trouble sending and receiving MMS text messages.  I followed your instructions on downloading the zip file and have it in my downloads (did it 3 times actually), and then I downloaded the "APN BACKUP AND RESTORE APP" from in the Market... but now I'm not sure what to do next.  How do I know if the APN zip file I downloaded has been saved before I remove/delete all the others and then restart my phone?
I appreciate all and any help that can be given!
Thanks!!

Is your phone rooted? Or is it stock like it was just bought out of a store...
