my weather will not update to the city im in. it always seems to stay in one city. when im home it never shows the weather for my city just the one i work in which is 40 miles away. any ideas on how to fix this? thanks.

did you go into the weather menu settings and uncheck mock locations?

the only things in settings is update automatically, update frequency and temperature scale

cannot remember now how to get to mock. 

Check settings>account sync> and is weather under manage accounts and is auto sync checked?

Not sure on the stock OTA but I think it is under Menu>Applications>Development.

i checked that and mock locations was already unchecked. does gps or something like that need to be switched on that might not be?

Check these things...

-menu>settings>accounts and sync...make sure that background data and auto-sync are checked

-Well somewhere in the settings menu on 2.1 there is an option to use wireless network to determine your location. On my phone it is under location & security but I think it is different for 2.1. Anyway, make sure that location is checked. The problem definitely is in one of those settings. You should not need gps to determine your weather location, just your mobile network.

Did you check out what Sik and I posted about accounts sync?  Gps has nothing to do with weather.
