I guess I have used by eris to long because now the keyboard is beginning to act up.  especially the "a" key. I have to use the phone in landscape mode in order for the "a" key to work properly.
I am using kaosfroyo 38.  would wiping the phone and loading another rom help with the keyboard?  I have tried different keyboard apps all with the same result.  the section of the screen where the "a" key just not work.

Sounds like the screen is going bad if it happens on all keyboards. You can try wiping But i'm afraid it won't do anything.

I doubt its the rom. Roms usually don't act up like that.

thanks guys for you replies.  I guess I knew what your replies were going to be but I had to ask.  guess I will struggle for another month then its time to upgrade.  problem there is which phone to upgrade to.  there are so many good ones out and more on the way.  I have to say that I have enjoyed my eris.
