Hi guys, I'm new to this rooting and flashing thing. I have rooted and flashed my phone several times with different roms and they all do the same thing. When i reboot the phone after install it stays on the boot screen.  I currently loaded nonsensikal and it said install complete so i rebooted my phone. Now it stays on the cyanogen(mod) screen. All the animation works, the little energy trail circles the droid guy  but it wont finish the sequence. Any help would be greatly appriciated.

Reflash the rom but download another copy. But just to let you know that rom is not supported by the dev anymore

Correct, you might want to try macrodroids gingerbread rom instead.

I finally figured it out. Thanks for the help. I am installing this ROM as i type this. (CyanogenMOD 7.1.0 RC1 Gingerbread NIGHTLY for the HTC Eris) any insight  as to how good it is and pointer on things to look out for would be great. Thanks again guys.

never tried that one.  Only flashed macrodroid's gingerbread.

So i've been playing with my phone since my last post. man it is so much smoother and faster. only one issue so far, when i try to do the *228 update roaming the dialer pad goes blank once the call connects. shows (activating device) on the screen. any one have this issue before with other roms? any quick fix for it?

If u r losing the keypad view, just hold the menu button for a few seconds and it will pop up

that did the trick thanks man. Anyone know how i can get flash player. When i pull it up on the market it shows but there is no download tab.

Eris cant run flash. It has a modified version built in of flash lite but the hardware cant handle and doesnt have proper hardware to run it
