I've got a Droid Eris that we're having issues with trying to flash a rom too. Apparently my friend tried flashing a new rom to his phone and something went wrong. He attempted to fix it which I'm not sure what he tried in those attempts but now while flashing we get this error..

assert failed: write_raw_image("/tmp/boot.img", "boot")

We get this with every rom we try and flash now. I noticed a recovery.log file on this sd card. So I've included it.

Any help would be much appreciated.

I will check the log when i get to a PC. If you can get into recovery, wipe data & davlik cache. Then try flashing again.

Ok, from a quick look at the log, it seems you may have a bad memory card. Alot of bad sectors on it...

Save what you can from it and reformat it. Then try again. If that doesn't work, try a new card.

Sounds like your not rooted. You can only flash those if root is setup prior & working correctly...

Check with one of the devs that developed them & see if they might be able to help

Format everything and then reflash the rom and what not.

If you're rooted & can install apps, have you tried the rom manager app? it can download & install recoveries for you.

If the issue is installing during the root process, I wouldn't be able to help without seeing the errors or knowing what & how you are rooting..
