This is a thread to post about your favorite and essential apps for your rooted device.

--QuickBoot--Allows easy access to booting into recovery screen.

--SetCPU--Allows you to control your CPU usage, you need this to make use of over clocking in your ROM
--ShootMe--Easy to use screen shot app.

More to came. Feel free to add as you please!

I would say wireless teather for root.  This is a great feature of having root.  It comes with most of the roms i've tried but I figured it was at least worth a shout out to.

The first one I find as a time saver and maybe life saver is:

Titanium Backup

A cool thing I have learned and will share but im sure you all know alread (Yes, im a little slow) is using titanium backup to reinstall all apps and can also reinstall system settings (system setting restore may only be if your flashing the same rom, not sure yet).

I have tried it and when i switched roms from froyo to EE, it replaced all my apps right to where they belonged on the sd card and made life so much simpler. It also backs up the market link so the market recognizes them after install and you still get the updates.

Right now I have backups of
apps only w/marketplace link
system files only
apss & system files

The program also can delete any stock apps from the rom you may not need, like amazon mp3, teeter, stocks and so fourth.

**PLEASE REMEMBER** removing some stock apps can affect other options of the phone, for example, you may not need to use friend stream but if you remove it, it causes issues with google/facebook/twitter sync and some other sync issues as well. My advice is using apps2sd or a froyo room with built in option to install to sd to save internal memory & just leave the app installed.

Love Titanium so far.....

Thanks jrocker! I am a little weary of restoring through titanium when updating to a new rom or a new version of the same rom because some settings, if restored, may screw something up. I have yet to test this a whole lot but that is my concern. Otherwise I love the app and the usefulness in removing native apps is well worth having it around.

Jrocker, love titanium also.  I did delete friend stream and have encountered nothing so far. I not use facebook or twitter on phone.  Google is fine so far.  Thanks for the warning.

Mini Info Widget--It's not necessarily a root app, but an extremely usefull one in my opinion.
