EverVolV Eris http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=14956213#post14956213

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Alright everyone, here's my next project... Thanks to the guys at Evervolv.com, here's a port from their Hero CDMA version:

Just to keep things clear, I didn't make this rom, I just ported it to our device, so please make sure you give props to the dev's for their hard work on this project!

This is straight from the EverVolv thread:

Alright ladies and gentlemen, I am glad to finally bring you the Evervolv series of ROM's.

This rom would not be possible without the CM team, so i give them props any time i can.
The current team of Evervolv constists of:

preludedrew - Droid Incredible, Evo 4G, Evo Shift 4G & Nexus one maintainer; overall support & development
cocide - Evo 4G; Web; Linux and overall support & development; Viewsonic GTab maintainer/support
milesje - Evo 4G; java and overall support & development
Adhvanit - Graphics and Droid Incredible support.
RyteSyde - web and graphics development; Evo Shift 4G support
TpyoKnig - Web support and hosting.
smoothtaste - heroc support/maintainer

Contributors
Exxodium - Wallpaper graphics
Deck - What does deck do?
Screenshots of the ROM in action can be seen Here - Screenshots

Download the latest from from Evervolv.com

Make sure to do a full wipe, even if you're coming from an older build, just to make sure. Also, flash Google Apps that are also on that download page.

Q&A

Is this CM7?

No, this is a build that started from AOSP. However, some of the fixes and few features have been derived from the CyanogenMod Team, including the CM kernel.

How social is the evervolv team?

You can join us on IRC, irc.freenode.net #evervolv. Or follow preludedrew and the status of Evervolv @preludedrew on twitter.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------

This Rom is AOSP, coming directly from google source, not CM. However, there are some CM elements mixed in. If you're coming from a CM Rom, you will need to do a Full Wipe/Dalvik Wipe and flash from fresh!

DISCLAIMER:

By flashing this Rom, you accept any and all responsibility associated with it. I'm not responsible if you brick your phone or it becomes so sexy that all your friends quite hanging out with you out of jealousy!

This Rom is highly responsive, Excellent memory management and very lean!

OPTIONS:

C2C from ZachXTR
---------------------------------------------
SuperCharger from zepplinrox

1. Place the SuperCharger script on your SD card
2. DL Script Manager from the Market
3. Open Script Manager and find the Supercharger script on your SD
4. Check Run as Root and run the script.

There are 15 settings, personally the aggressive or gaming modes work best for me, but most have better luck with the balanced settings. If it's your first time running the script, you'll need to reboot your phone to apply it.

Remember to show the guys at EverVolv your appreciation for the Rom! It's a great piece of work!

1. do a titanum backup of all apps
2. Download the following one of the gapps from macs other rom C2C, SuperCharger, De-Odexed or Odexed make sure they are on the root of the sd
(Odexed Roms are pre-optimized so all the apks will load faster... Odexed Rome cannot be themed also. Deodexed means there are no optimized files, which generally wont effect performance much and can easily be themed. You'll notice a sought difference between them, the odexed versions runs smoother "" from mac)
3. Turn off phone ( i get yelled at if this one is not in there  Grin )
4.  Vol up and power on ( if you dont know how to do this is by now stop put the phone down and smack yourself)
5. Full wipe guys and guys
6. Flash the rom, c2c, gapps  and if you got the bigger text thing
7. reboot duh
8. waiting for the phone to boot up

9. once loaded first thing grab titanum backup and get your apps back and then try doing the super charger  here is the how to do Supercharger
2. DL Script Manager from the Market
3. Open Script Manager and find the Supercharger script on your SD
4. Check Run as Root and run the script.
5. once the script is running it will ask for a scrolling speed option 0,1,2,3 pick one then hit enter, then you pick a num 1-16 ( hint if you it back the key pad goes away and you can read the description of what they are I am using 1 for the first and 8 for the second one)
6. after you put the second number in hit enter and it finally stops reboot your phone and there you go
.

If you guy got any problems post them here Mac will be checking here and xda, I am just a middle man who just post the info then gives you my dummies guide on how I install it.. All props go to mac and the creators of this art work  Tongue

Hope you guys are enjoying the new port!  Just thought I'd stop in and say rhànks for all the support.

It doesn't look like there are too many nightly updates on their end, but I'm going to add in a diet version this weekend.  Under 60mb and some extra tweaks to smooth things out!  The font will also be reverted back to the stock Eris font...

Thanks everyone!

Thanks Macrodroid!

I haven't tried the new ROM, but I did take your advice and do the V6 Supercharger (applied to your other ROM).

I am curious though, how does one make an informed decision about which option to select in the supercharger menu? Frrr is using 8 (multitasking), another set of instructions I read recommended 6 (balanced 2).

I guess I'm just not sure what its really doing, so I don't know what to chose. (I'm on 6 at the moment.)

Supercharger settings are more trial and error than science, I think...  I've tried a few of them, and on my phone the aggressive 1 or 2 or Gaming (which I think is 6) seem to work well.

I've made some minor updates to the 1st release of this Rom, you guys might want to Check out XDA and see what's changed - I've added some mods that you can flash to change font, DPI settings, etc...

Thanks for the Support everyone, I really appreciate it alot!!!

Anyone know how to uninstall the supercharger? Since I installed it my battery life has really sucked. The phone won't last 8 hours and that's with one 3 min phone call and no other useage! I gotta get rid that supercharger.

Frrr, do you mean the ROM and the gapps? No wipe?

Aw, nevermind. I was thinking of flashing MacroDroid's MR6 and that requires a full wipe anyway. So I guess that is my motivation to do it!

Thanks.  Wink
