This ROM is pretty cool, and it is snappy. Some of the features it has are that it's based on Eclair (v2.1), and comes preset with the CPU overclocked to 710 MHz (no need for Set CPU). I like how they split the ROM in two, with a plain vanilla ROM zip and the Google Apps as a separate download. That's a nice touch, but I would have at least liked the Market app to be available on the vanilla ROM (unless that's not feasible or possible). It also incorporates Verizon's latest ROM update, which is also a plus.

However, there is one trade off you'll have to endure with this ROM. Because it comes OC'd by default at 710 MHz, it likes to stay running at higher clock frequencies even if you aren't doing anything with the phone. So in the end you'll need Set CPU to control the phone a bit to maintain the battery and keep the temperature down. Over the course of two days, it rebooted on me once and once only. I don't know the cause of the reboot, but it's something to watch for.

One thing that I find a bit lacking is that even though it's built ontop of Cyanogen, it lacks the settings panel for it. I find that a bit bothersome. It does have Launcher Pro, and Spare Parts pre-installed, which is part of how it achieves greater performance.

You can find more information at the following post on the XDA Developers website, including the download link for the ROM. Enjoy!

+ Fast!

Con's
- Likes to run warm
- Lacks Cyanogen settings panel, even though it's built with Cyanogen (what gives?)
- Battery killer

Final Verdict: Use With Caution
An overall solid custom ROM based on Cyanogen / Eclair (v2.1) that's certainly fast, but sacrifices battery life to achieve this.  If you don't mind recharging every 12 hours and the heat, then this is the ROM for you!
