Here's my comparison
swype and SlideIT ate very identical even in its settings. only two major differences come to mind
1: swype has secondary keys where you can hold a button to use a symbol SlideIT does not ( you have to click the symbol Button and go from there) that's a downside foot SlideIT (another would be that you can only add five new words to the dictionary on there free version)
2: SlideIT shows the word with the highest probability that you want to use and puts it into the text field without you selecting it ( it does give you the option to select alternatives however) swype does not it brings up all possible words without actually placing it on the input field. This too is a problem for me the last word I write gets left out if I dont think to tap the right word. SlideIT usually shows the correct answer so having it auto place the highest probable result has never presented a problem
I've not tested this on swype but SlideIT also has an abc mode you can switch to instantly as well as it allows the input of websites and email addresses once they are saved. For example
www.facebook.com cab be typed by "swyping" wfacebokcom no symbols are needed as it places them there automatically. Also such anagrams as btw can instantly turn into by the way (set these in the shortcut menu and when swyping they muddy be green). Lastly you can not store words to be all caps or all lowercase. If it begins the line or comes after a period it gets capitalized and if it its saved with the first letter in caps thats how it will always be. Otherwise its in caps. These are things in SlideIT that I've noticed and am unsure of in swype any corrections are welcomed, no encouraged rather

SlideIT is also in the market or available through non pay methods if toy search good enough but hey why not pay? its like a few dollar s or so thank you Lol
Hope my comparison helps feel free to clean it up a bit for better comprehension if need be. thus might become its own thread if others would Like to share their findings
