When you say No Comment, isn't that a comment?

Thanks Ripley! How about you Jrocker?

Im fine with what I have. I think it will go ok for us though. I dont think we will have the same issues unless it wipes the leak completely out of the phone and reinstalls...

I'm perfectly happy where I am (2.1 V3). But I'm not going to refuse the OTA if it comes my way (or 2.2 or that matter! Grin)

I just wanted to clear this up.. A lot of people are getting upset because its almost the 24th, and no leakers have the update, but the original poster (posting quotes from vzwsupport on twitter) posted that vzw support said "Leak Users will be able to update AFTER the 24th.."
they did not give a specific date, but they said after the OTA rolls out, we will be able to.. and that's all the info we got from that lol..

So, stop thinking we are gonna get it before then!

Today someone posted via twitter from verizon, that the leakers were not going to get the OTA...Verizons right hand does know what the left hand is doing.

That appears to be the state of affairs from the beginning. Too bad - it makes it difficult to refer folks that are having problems to them reliably  Sad

I am running v3 also and have not had any problems whatsoever. I don't want the OTA if it causes the probs everyone is having. I hope that those that are running v3 will be bypassed and maybe a different and better OTA comes at a later date.

I am hoping the same thing and instead Verizon sends out a patch to deal with the silent phone issue we all could benefit from.

I am running leak v3 and today i actually received a verizon email saying the update had been sent to my phone,  now of course i go to check my phone and no notification and i went to settings/about phone/systems updates and it says system is currently up to date.  i was curious if any one else received emails from verizon like this.

I got the same email actually. My phone however did not have the update waiting... maybe they meant that the update is on its way?

Yep read online today that several leakers received the same email.  I have not yet.  Since the 24th has passed I am guessing the Verizon wireless Eris database is now trying to tell everyone that an update is available, but does not realize that the leakers cannot get the update due to our hboot being a higher number than the OTA.
