Author Topic: no sd card after OTA update  (Read 3251 times)

Did update today everything is working nicely except the SD card I cannot see it on my computer. I have reformatted it I have done a battery pull, i have reload HTC sync, I have restarted my computer, I have done everything I can think of except throw the phone accross the room LOL, also my weather wiget does a forced close also... any ideas???

when you connect to the computer by usb you have to pull down the notification shade. (Top of phone where you see your signal bars and updates) then choose disk drive then done

thanks man but there is nothing on my status bar at all when i plug the usb cable in the computer has also started stating usb device not recognized.

Plug it into pc (try a different usb port if you can) then go to menu/settings/connect to pc /default connection type/disk drive and it should install the drivers

Can you format it on the pc? try that and put it back in the phone. Is it the memory card that came with the phone?

I'll have to find my adapter no its not that card had an accident today lol, also its a 4gb card instead of 8 gb, I'll have to ask my wife for the adapter and try and format it on the pc

ok did another battery pull, and waited for awhile, then reinstalled let phone boot up and waited for awhile and then plug it in using a different usb cable and yeha its working  Cool thanks for all your help

I've had this problem before myself.. and after troubleshooting it for some time, I am pretty sure I narrowed it down to an APP that was "killed" or force closed... Do you use a task manager? I stopped having these types of issues when I stopped using task killers/managers.
