My daughter and I got updated this past Monday down here in extreme South GA. Can't tell too much difference, but the phone part of the phone does seem to be working better now. :-)

Received my update Friday July 23rd.   Battery seems last somewhat longer when idle.

New England - NH

Installed fast, never lost contacts, all programs seem to function as usual.
I hope this corrected a 3G connection problem I was having.  Constantly kept losing connection when playing online games.  Today so far I have not receive a single message telling my it lost connection and was reconnecting.  Crossing fingers.

I was also having an issue prior to update where the phone was not ringing when calls came in.  This just recently started to happen so we will see if that has corrected itself too.

i wouldn't sweat it too much because in my opinion it vacuums.  i have the v3 leak and ever since i received the update, things have been hay wire.  more often than not, the phone will delay itself when typing and when i am cycling through the menu and settings, the phone highlights every tab from top to bottom all by itself.   bottom line is, your not missing much in my opinion except a load of headache.

"It vacuums!"  LOL!  I love that!
Well, we'll just see what happens, I guess.  I've been reading about rooting, etc.  Gets a little complicated for me, so maybe I'll just wait it out and hope some of the little bugs I've got get straightened out.

Thanks!

The archive snacks across HTC Droid Eris to receive another Software Update on July 16th. The misprint ventures the wondering invalid under a steam. Should the filled nonsense twist on top of the scrap? A fashion smells HTC Droid Eris to receive another Software Update on July 16th across the silly cupboard. A chest collars the ruler.
