Before update, official 2.1 OTA:

Baseband Version: 2.42.00.04.12
Kernel Version:  2.6.29-8a03cb9a  htc-kernel@and18-2 #1
Build Number:  2.36.605.1 CL165907 release-keys
Software Number:  2.36.605.1
Browser Number:  Webkit 3.1
PRI:  2.11_002
PRL:  51920
ERI:  5
Hardware Version: 002

Haven't installed the update yet, so I'm not sure what is being fixed here.

EDIT:  PRI/PRL must have something to do with location?

Yes they have to do with location, towers, service, so everyones will not match.

A PRL is a binary file that is loaded into a cellular or PCS telephone to give it instructions on what services to use.

PRI is geographical area and priority and are used for seeking service and chosing between carriers.

ERI = Enhanced Roaming Indicator. Tied to the PRL.  ERI relates to the status of the roaming indicator.

None are relevant to the OTA update

Chewi where in America are you because before your update I have the exact same software build, well hell every thing you had my matched. And now I'm kind worried because I'm on the v3 leak but like I said everything matched.

Based on how the original v2.1 OTA was distributed a couple months ago, I'd say it'll reach everyone in a week or two.

Hell to be double sure I recive this update I did the RUU flash from v3 leak to offical OTA 2.1, of course this did what I wanted it to do, a complete system wipe. Also I noticed when setting phone back up the HTC wiget gives you more options like to download a dice wiget, coin flip wiget, a battery wiget and many more!! I know the v3 leak did not have this on it b/c I went through phone and checked before running the RUU rom. Now I sit here and wait for the UPDATE in SC. Anyone else get update today?

So Chewy, now that you got the update are you still going to try to root your phone? It would be interesting to see if it will work.

Well I was on v3 did have all the widgets you talk about.  The battery widget will drain you battery like there is not tomorrow.

How did you ROOT your phone if on v3 leak? And are there options for me to ROOT now or will I have to wait for the hackers to make a rootable rom for 1.49 hboot?

I have a dumb question. If you received the update and have not rooted yet, does that mean you have to wait for a root for the updated OS?
