Cheesy thanks. umm i can no longer snd SMS Sad. no settings schanged just powered off charged powered on and yeah.... i tried a soft reboot

Are you using a 3rd party SMS app?

Have you tried *228?

Load another ROM!!


Its probably not a setting that you changed but something else that you did. WHAT DID YOU DO?!?!?!  Grin Grin

idk... it fixed itself. i did find out that the person had their phone off but.... the others didnt

i like this root, if i were to load the EvilEris ROM and didnt like it would I be able to switch back over?

Yep, you can flop back and forth as you please. Follow the usual instructions and you're in.

How do I "flash" the recovery. ?? lol btw i also read that there is a radio update or w.e that increase signal/battery Cheesy i want to "flash" that as well. I'm sure I'll be the first one with an expensive paperweight

III: Flashing a Custom Recovery
Flashing a custom recovery will make your life easier when flashing ROMs in the future.

1. Download this file: Recovery.zip

2. Extract file contents to your \tools\ directory of your Android SDK.

3. Open up a command prompt and go to your tools directory, and execute these commands:

    * adb shell mount -o rw,remount /dev/block/mtdblock3 /system
    * adb push recovery.img /sdcard
    * adb push flash_image /system/bin
    * adb shell chmod 755 /system/bin/flash_image
    * adb shell flash_image recovery /sdcard/recovery.img

4. Success! You now have a recovery partition installed on your phone. You can access it by running "adb shell reboot recovery" or by powering off your phone, holding "Volume Up + Power On"

How do I do this?? i did the SDK thing, added the folders and everything. I tried opening cmd and copying and pasting but it didnt work

lol adb does not work for me i think, im using windows and idk what terminal is but i tried command prompt... adb gave me nada Sad i wants teh custom roms. there has to be something im missing, everyone cant have a mac can they??

kk Im going to just go lleaked. without a working trackball there is no sense if aving root because i cant load any roms, got the recovery to work fine btw. they just didnt have the beginnig step listed. you havve to type:

cd C:\AndroidSDK\android-sdk-windows\tools


(yes with the space and if your sdk tools directory is different then adjust it accordingly)  hope this helps some1 as for me.. im S.O.L. 

leak is my best bet, if get a replacment phone i can just  root there. but as far as now -seeing as i doubt a custom recovery just for me will be made where the ROM will be the first thing listed- i cant use the Root for its purpose. Sorry everyone

i need help. i have a droid eris that is flashed to metro pcs. everytime i send a sms to a certain person it gives me sms error cause code 34 error class 2. if you can help me out that would be cool

i have tried everything you guys say and everything i down load it flash and blah blah do power on and volume up go to flash and hit the ee deal it starts run til it gets to the second copying files then the word bad pops up. i have tried every down load i dont know what i am doing wrong. or am i just stuck with EL
