Hey,

Anyone out there notice that the pics taken with the camera since 2.1 upgrade are not as good as they were with 1.5? Just curious as mine seem a little blurry (just not as sharp) as they did before.

I have the camera set on the highest quality settings.

Thanks

My outdoor pics came out fine this evening but my indoor pics were bland.  Grainy.

One of the gotchas to a flashless camera like the Eris is you might need to tweak the ISO manually for low light pictures. It's also gonna be sensitive to nearby light sources (lamps, windows) that will throw off the light sensor. To tweak the ISO open the camera, slide the little tab center left toward the center. Click the little gears on the lower left and select ISO. The darker the room the higher the ISO needs to be. Don't forget to set it back to auto when you are done.

My pleasure! We don't need no stinking flashes - they waste batteries!  Undecided

So, I'm having an issue with my camera as well, just not the same as the one mentioned above. For some reason, when I open my camera, it takes so long to respond, it FCs. If I'm patient, it will open, it just takes about a minute or so. But an even more upsetting problem, is the new photos app that replaced the Albums. I can't view any of my pictures. It keeps Force closing so I can't look at any pictures, or add them to any of my contacts. Anyone know if I did something wrong with the update or know a fix? Thank you!!!

If this has all happened since the upgrade you might consider a factory reset. Before you do, look thru the 2.1 Tips and Tricks thread as this will clear all your settings and apps. You will need to back everything up!
