Not that I have read, nor have they received voice to text. I downloaded the Nexus Gallery app but don't like how slow and jerky it is on my Eris.

You have to give the program about 5 or 10 minutes to really cache your pics. After that it will run very smooth. I use it and love it..

I'm glad I read this. Yes, after a while it runs much better, thanks! I don't have a lot of patience - if I don't like a program I usually delete it quickly. I hadn't gotten around to deleting this yet. I'm happy about that now! Smiley

Wow Downloaded it, and have it running.  I have a TON of pictures: like nearly 800... (My double twist puts alot from my PC on there that I loke having) so far I have been waiting ten minutes and only a few things are showing up... Will this work with this many pics?

Yes it will but with that many, it will take some time... It will work and once it does its real nice.

The Nexus Gallery is one of the reasons I'm such a fan of Astro File Manager. I keep a lot of photos/movies on the phone and I used Astro to make sub folders on the phone, sorted the photos into folders. It makes them all very easy to find using the Gallery.

I've been running this app for a few days now on the 2.1 OTA and it just doesn't quite work right.  No matter how much time you give it, sometimes it just refuses to create thumbnails.  The thumbnails will just be grey boxes.  Sometimes when you load the app it won't find pics at all, sometimes it does, sometimes it creates thumbnails, sometimes it doesn't.  It's all very random and unstable.

No one has really said they had any issues with it. Running very smooth for me. Maybe its conflicting with another app. The newest link I posted was the fixed one that someone had worked on...

It's not an app as I just reset to factory defaults and gallery was the first thing I installed and it still didn't work right.  I have hundreds of pics and it generated thumbnails for them all just fine, but when I took new pics over the weekend it refused to generate them.  Just grey boxes.  I've read of other people having this problem as well.  I suppose if I gave it some time it would eventually generate the thumbnails, but I don't see why it can't do it immediately.

I'll try the link you posted, but I'm sure I have already tried that one.  Yup, that one's definitely broken too.  It won't generate thumbnails (it did the first time, but I open it again and it won't) and the camera button FCs the app.  The version I had been using is actually newer than this one in that the camera button worked.  Grabbed my version from here:

Works smooth as silk for me now!   Cool I'd say even better than the "albums" app that comes with the phone.  Seems faster, and definitely nicer... Using the 2.1 Verizon OTA upgrade... No issues.  Thanks for the reply!

Since the Eris does not have a lot of phone memory, does this app cache the photos to te SD card or the phone?
I have only 83mb of phone memory and not many downloaded apps so this is my concern with a lot of pics and a potentially large cache file.
