This is just a video I made of me playing with PhoneMyPC on my Droid Eris.. just thought it would fit well in this section...
The App is only $9.99 and it allows you to have complete control of any PC (connected to the internet) you install their software on (available on their website) as long as your phone has either Wifi or 3g connection. So you could be out of state, on a business trip, and realize you forgot an important file on your computer at home, but nobody is there.. As long as your computer is turned on or even in sleep mode, you can connect, find your files and email them to yourself to be retrieved by the eris Smiley Pretty cool eh?
The main reason I actually got the app is shown in the video below.. I do a lot of Music Production and Audio Engineering (recording and mixing) and I saw videos of an iPhone app a few months back that was specifically designed for the software I use (Pro Tools) but was also specifically designed for only MAC computers. Seeing as how i would have to purchase an iPhone, switch to AT&T (ewww) AND BUY a mac computer, on TOP of the $99 app, just for control over a few things in the software I use, I think this $10 dollar alternative ended up being way better for me lol.. (I got my Eris for free with an upgrade) I can now step away from the computer during a recording session, and continue to control the PC and not waste any time (like during those pesky bathroom breaks!) lol

---Notice... I have 2 computer screens on my desk, and to my surprise, the app actually has a function that allows you to switch between the 2 (you will see in the video)

I never did dl this app. I thought I remember seeing a trial somewhere but I can't find it. I have no real use for this app other than satisfying curiosity so I spent the $10 on beer  Cool

I got this app so I could help my parents who are not computer literate. It works flawlessly. I can even remote into my laptop when away from my home. As far as I know you can set up multiple computers on your list. I have 2 set up know.

I tested it and its pretty sweet. My big concern right now is that the dev mentioned that their server is not secure during the beta phase so until they release a full version there may be a little bit of a security issue. Otherwise pretty damn fun. +1 for eddie

Yes, you can set it up with as many PC's as you want! You just have to install the small program on each computer, and make sure its running, and connected to the internet when you want to connect Smiley

That definitely looks like an intriguing application to have. What's even cooler is that it looks very efficient too.

It actually is very efficient!
I noticed while using it over wifi, there is little or no lag at all..
When using over 3g, there is a tiny bit of lag, but nothing horrible..
This was while I was in front of my computer, using it to control a movie i was watching from the sofa haha..
Of course, if you are not at home, and using the app, you probably would not notice the lag so much, because you wouldnt be looking at your physical computer at the same time you were using the App Smiley
