Out of all the phones out on verizon right now, I really like the thunderbolt and incredible 2.

I know the bionic is coming out but not really feeling that one, also dont like samsung phones either. I have heard ok things for the LG revolution but havent tried it out..

Roms are running great, no real issues that I see reported and even if there is something a little out of wack, devs seem to correct it right away. Most are gingerbread but even just rootong the stock rom is great. If you like gingerbread or some custom built stuff, their is a nice variety and once official gingerbread hits, Im sure there will be even better stuff.

I rooted because I wanted wireless tether, but the phone has so much memory and speed that I really have no need to have root do anything for that but its nice to be able to tinker around.

Most roms & kernals do a good job with making the battery last and there is always overclocking if you like...

I was leaning towards the thunderbolt originally and I went over to the thunderbolt sister site & did some reading & like the sound of things, Just not sure if 4G is in my area yet would this have a affect on my performance? The tether is a big need for me as i travel alot and it is a livesaver alot of times. As allways thank you for the great info.

You can shut off 4g from the settings menu and just run 3G. This will save you a good amount of battery...
