Ok I see the effort on the second for 3d.  Try making the letters smaller and adding some color contrast to see if it will enhance the 3d effect.

I tried adding a gradient to the left side, but I don't know enough about Illustrator to do it. I'm used to Photoshop, which is much easier to add those type of effects to it.

I'll probably just start over to try to make it cleaner, i made the top one first, and the second one was just tweaked from the first so it became kind of sloppy and lacking of some effect.

I'm just messing around in Illustrator, sorry for all the updates, i just want some opinions haha.

Good stuff! I used to do a lot of stuff with paint.net for my custom ROMs; all of my work can be seen over at omniarom.com but unfortunately you have to log in to view images there. Anyway, I was thinking, you should make us a nice logo for the site. Maybe make a few of then and we will have a vote. I have wanted to for a while but I have papers to write  Grin We use to have a logo contest every month over at omniarom and the winner got the spotlight for the month. Go ahead, show us what ya got  Shocked

Okay, just so everyone knows, I have some pretty good graphic design skills...**everyone shivers** I figured I would put out a little teaser as jpc did.

These are some things from old ROMs that I did.  The dialer is an app that I developed for winmo called phatphingers, I designed everything in the images including background, buttons, bottom row buttons, top bar icons...I will defo submit a design for the logo contest when the time comes!!
