OK. I've got this compulsion to buy an Android tablet. It's driving me a little crazy. I _really_ want one, but I have NO IDEA why I want one. I certainly don't need one. I have a laptop, a netbook, an ipad, an iphone, and a droid eris. The last thing I need is an android tablet.

But I'm soooo tempted to buy one. That silly little $130 Kyros is calling my name. I have a deep desire to root it and install Honeycomb... and I still don't know why.

Help!  Tongue

Don't be too hard on the iphone/ipad. The price was right: free.  Grin  They are for work.

A Nook Color is looking like a good contender too. I was watching a vid on YouTube of a Nook Color with Honeycomb on it. It performed better than Samsung's $500 tablet.

The problem is, I still don't know why I want one.

Just so you guys know, you failed miserably.

I bought a Dell Streak 7. Not too shabby for a 16GB dual core nVidia processor Android tablet... running Honeycomb 3.1. (Not that I'm bragging or anything... but, yeah, I am.  Cheesy )

I do have so say one important thing though:
THIS FORUM ROCKS!

I rooted my Eris months and months ago. It has gone through many iterations and custom ROMs, and now sports a snappy super-stable custom Gingerbread ROM. It's got root, and Clockwork Recovery, and every bell and whistle I can think of. AND IT WAS EASY!

This forum made it EASY. And I've learned from working on my new Streak 7 that it is not so easy for most other devices out there. It's due to the great folks here and their friendly attitude and super-abundant knowledge that it is easy to work on an Eris.

Thanks again guys.
