I've had my eris since december. I had the 2.1 ota on it untill this morning. I rooted and installed kaosfroyo v24.The camera is weird nothing to see in the viewfinder except three slashes it freezes alot. im using open overclocker its seems to be running 784.59mhz. IT seems to be ok other than the camera thing.Live wallpaper wont load either? Alan Thanks for the input! |

camera is a know problem on froyo
you can try camera apps off the market like magic camera
some work ok

Welcome Alan. Take a look at the kaosfroyo op, it explains the things that don't work and has a FAQ page for more info. We also have a pretty good thread going on this site for more info.

Welcome to the forum. The camera is a problem with Froyo. Live wallpapers work great, depends on the WP app. Some work great, some do not.

My name is Kathy I had the devour that I paid 300 for and it was absolute shat trying my sons HTC Eris love it so far still going to try and get refund for devour worst phone ever. Does anyone know if the 2,2 is available for update yet?

There most likely will be no 2.2 update for eris due to it being an older phone & discontinued. I have heard some sources say they are working on it but only speculation and rumors right now.
If you rooted your phone you could have it. Just search our forums for root.
