Hey all.  Only had the droid eris for a week now.  Nowhere close to knowing all its capabilities.  Learned a ton from this forum.  Main question i have now is with my yahoo mail.   Coming from a BB Storm, i got my yahoo emails on my phone.  Verizon said i cannot at this time.  Must i wait until the 2.0.1 update to get my email account on my phone?

Also, am i correct in saying that i must wait for turn by turn voice directions for navigation?

Thans for your help.  I read most of the threads.  If i missed one that answers these questions...my apologies.

Thomas

Ps.  Is there any site that explains in decent detail just exactly what my awesome droid is capable of doing?

Hi Thomas,
Thanks for joining up here, and I'm glad you're getting a lot of good information from our members.
Try this for your Yahoo question, it worked like a charm for me, and make sure your Wifi is turned off during setup.  It's around the third to fourth post down, the video.

For turn by turn navigation, it does look like we're waiting for the firmware update to have this capability.

Let us know how it works for you!

I don't know what I'm running anymore.  Something Android.

Thanks for the great information. Can anyone tell me if this is the set up for having my yahoo email "push" to my phone? I am used to my Black Berry notifying me immediately when an email was sent. No matter how many times I try I always have to go in and "refresh" before the mail appears.

Thanks again for all of the great information.

Hi tc, welcome!
As far as I understand this is a 'checking' function of the phone itself, so its 'pulling' the information from Yahoo based on the interval you set up.
I believe the 'push' ability from Yahoo is a function that Yahoo charges an annual fee for.

Please let us know if you find something different.
