Cant see to find this anywhere so here goes.. Can you sign out of gmail on the eris? I dont use the account that they set up at verizon, and I keep gettin junk email to the email address. I didnt want to delete it, so is there any way of signing in and out of gmail on the phone. Sorry if this is a stupid question but I cant seem to do it on my phone. I use another yahoo address as my main email client. Thanks for any help.
No you cannot. Found out why when upgraded to 2.1. Eris needs your gmail account for some of googles functions to work, cannot think of which ones in particular. Also if you power down and back up the phone will prompt you everytime to sign into your gmail account. I really do not use the account also except on rare occasion.
