 Huh?
I set my alarm last night for 7am.  I woke up at 7:35am.  The scroll button was flashing.
Heard no ring, so I went to the manual and set as discribed.
Still no ring, please advise.
Thanks in advance,
Jim in Sequim, love my phone

I have read on several forums people are having problems with their alarm clock not working.  For me, my alarm has always worked(and I hate mornings).  I hit my clock on home screen, then choose alarm clock and I hit the first listing called description. I set the desired (really undesired) time to get up, then I go down to alarm sound and choose the least offensive alarm sound. I have light chosen and hit ok.  I also have vibrate checked.  You can also click on the repeat to see what days you want checked, I have mon thru fri checked.  I then hit done. It goes back to the description screen and I see a green check.  My alarm goes off as programmed.  Now I have a case on my phone so the speaker does not lay directly on a surface and get muted.

You might want to try verifying the alarm sound on your phone. I have had a couple of occasions where I removed a sound (ringtone/notification/alarm sound) that was assigned to a particular item and the item wasn't reassigned the "default" sound. It's worth a try.

Try downloading an app from the market called volumer++. I had the same problem until I got that. It will open up your entire sound board and you will notice right away that the alarm sound is turned all the way down. You can customize all of your sounds too. You can have it stay in the notification bar. And you can turn your wifi on and off from it as well. Hope this helps you out.

Are you using a custom sound file or one included with the phone? People are reporting problems using custom sounds (sounds installed on their SD card) but the pre-installed sound files are working.

I know this is an old discussion board, but I just got a thunderbolt and had the same problem for a week. Hopefully this will help someone who might have just switcher to droid and is not waking up on time because of the droid settings being difficult. Anyways, I fixed the problem by going into the phone settings --> sound --> general --> volume  and change the alarm volume up. Mine was all the way down when I got the phone.
Works perfect now, even with my own ringtones.
