Happy New Year to All!!  Keep up all the good work on this forum.

And yeah, I love my Eris!!!   Kiss

Here's my situation:
-  Played some music using the native Music Player.
-  Used Advanced Task Killer to shutdown/stop Music Player.
-  Hit the lock key to lock phone.
-  Hit the lock key to unlock the phone.
-  What opens up is the familiar Verizon Wireless, time, day & date BUT the last song played is displayed here.
-  When I swipe down, I do get to my home screen.

Question:
-  How do I go about clearing the last song played from my "swipe" screen?

The only way I can clear this up is to "reboot" the phone - powering it off and power it up again.  It akin to taking a sledgehammer to swat a fly  Grin

Maybe my question should be - what is the proper way to turn off the native music player?

Thanks in advance!!

Once it is open, it is open. You can use a task killer but I do not believe the app uses any resources when music isn't playing and the screen isn't open to it.

yes, the native MP3 player is weak in that aspect.  it just hangs there.  install an app for an MP3 player.

Do any of you have a preferred player to replace the native player?

I been using the Cubed Player for a few days and it's pretty snazzy (especially the interface). It kinda flipped out on me in the car yesterday (tried to randomized 4 Gb worth of music) but since I was concentrating on driving my 68 VW thru rush hour traffic it may have been my fault. Embarrassed

Welcome aboard!

Just downloaded Cube also and love the 3D, now I need to get some music on there, besides ringtones to play.  Sweet player.

Ok, I just downloaded Cubed. But the HTC player is still loaded on my lock screen. How do I remove it from the lock screen and then prevent it from getting stuck on it again?

Thats a new one for me, not sure how its on the lock screen.  I would power down and reboot back up first.

What happens if you change the lock screen wallpaper? Also, are you running any additional security apps (like Lock 2.0). If so try un-installing and re-installing the app(s).

I have had this problem before. The proper way, or the way i have prevented this, is to pause the song then kill it. Try it out let me know how it goes (:

all you really have to do is just pause it and exit the app. it doesnt keep running, it will shut down.

Also you really dont need an app killer program, my own opinion is it really doesnt help and some people report it does more harm then good but that is up to you too decide.

Leak 2.1v3 has a process killer built in the settings menu if you really need.

Just my 2 cents.

I totally agree.  You do not need an app killer app.  Since uninstalling my app killer program, my performance and battery life has improved!!!!   Yes and 2.1 v3 has running services to see what may be causing a problem.
