I use MS Outlook at home and office and send appointment reminders between them.  I used to have an older Smartphone that I used Active SYnc on.  I have lost all brain cells since then so please help.  I did a search onn here and did not find what I wanted.

I want to have all the emails that I receive on my home email address (xxxxx@woh.rr.com) pushed to my phone.  I do not want to go through gmail or anything else.  I want to be able to read my Outlook email as well as accept appointment reminders and have them put on my calendar.  Please help.

Thanks

Your issue here is really two issues. You can set up your personal e-mail account by opening the Mail Icon and select Menu>More>New Account and set up a new account. From there you put in the account settings provided by Roadrunner (your ISP) and away you go.

The calendar notifications is another matter. Those are integrated into the phone via a your G-mail account (any Exchange users out there could tell you more about what the Exchange Sync offers in this area I have not used it) but your personal account, which is surely a POP3 account will not have this feature. There might be an additional app to do this but if so I've never seen it.

Something else you should know is that outgoing mail from your phone via the personal account is an entirely different kettle of fish (Verizon dropped their SMTP relay service last September). If you have trouble with this let me know. I figured out a way to "Skip" SMTP traffic off of the Gmail service and make it work  Grin!

Thanks.  I did manage to connect the phone to the PC using the cable and sync my contacts and calendar.  Now the mail issue is another thing all together.  I cannot get it to work.  I hate Roadrunner at times...lol

If you are still willing to help, I can explain it better on email....on my PC of course...lol
