Whenever I receive an email to my phone, I get two notifications, one is an envelope and the other is an "M" symbol. Is there any way that I can change it so that I only get one type of notification (preferably the "M" symbol)? Also, if I delete an email from my phone, does that remove the email completely from my inbox (on the computer)?

Looks like you set up the same account on the Email app and the GMail app.

Check your settings. If that is the case, you can remove the account from the Email app and just use the GMail app.

Where in the settings can I find out if I have both set up and how can I remove the Email app account if that is the case?

Sorry, I forgot to ask if you are using the stock ROM or any other ROM.

You have 2 email apps one labeled gmail the other is labeled email. Just hit the little arrow up one the home screen to get to where all your apps are go to the Email one sign out of that one or go to setting and just stop the notification

Thanks, it worked Smiley If I delete the email from my phone,  is there any way that I can keep it from not being delete from the email on the computer? I would like to get the emails off my phone but don't want to completely lose them from my inbox on the computer. Not sure if that's an option or not, but I thought I'd ask anyway.

Yes you can. In the settings of the email app your using, look for a setting that says "delete from server" and make sure it is unchecked...

I'm sticking to the gmail app, however there is no option in settings for "delete from server." The only options in the settings are "signature, confirm delete, batch operations, clear search history, labels, email notifications, select ringtone and vibrate." I went in to look at the "email" app and there isn't anything about it there either.

The GMail app will never "fill up" with the email, as the content is actually based on the web. The app is just to display them.

On the regular mail app, you can delete them from the phone and keep them on the server.
On the GMail app, there's no need for that. Messages are always in the server (even if you delete them on the computer); they are not removed from the trash folder until you run out of space on the GMail mailbox (that is growing all the time).

As an alternative to deleting messages, use labels and/or archive. Check the GMail tutorials on their site to learn more about this feature.
