Is there something I'm doing wrong or am I missing somthing? Logged Rooted! And being new to this I just want to do it right but I fallowed the way he said to do it and have the problem I posted above. You can and should backup your apps and SD card content prior to rooting. AppBrain and Astro File Manager  can be used to backup apps. You should also consider copying your entire SD card to your computer as a precaution. Once rooted, Nand Backup and Titanium backup can do complete backups of your phone.
