Well I'm gonna try to become a part of the site again and integrate my 2.1 information in everywhere...hehehe

I stopped using the alarm just after this post because it just didn't work EVER! I figured I would give it another shot after upgrading to 2.1 and what do ya, it works. I have used the alarm on a number of occasions over the past 4 or 5 days and it hasn't failed once yet. There are also some nice options now if you press the menu button, one of them being the alarm volume, you no longer have to adjust it for every alarm every time.

Way out.  Search the forum for the 2.1 "leaked" update which is manual.

Hi,

I had the same experience (not ringing) with the original alarm. Downloaded a great app called "Better Alarm". It workes like a charm and you can wake up with your favorite song as well. Highly recommended.

Just tried the native alarm clock again and the d**m thing still works perfectly.   Cheesy I hate alarms!  Hate to hear others having problems with it.

Ok have read other forums with people having the alarm clock issue also.  Decided to try more testing.  First I turned off the ringer volume, then set the alarm.  Alarm goes off with sound for the time I set it for, working perfectly.  So decided to use task killer and kill the clock app and turn off the volume again.  Alarm goes off as set.  Then while in alarm clock I hit the menu key and pops up a list of items for the alarm that can be set:  Alarm in silent mode; alarm volume; snooze duration; side button behavior.  I did not know this existed.

I know this is a little late in the game to be posting (ive been deployed for a while) , but i've had the same problem with my alarm clock and found that my Automatic task Killer was killing it. once i took it off the list it works perfectly. I got the advance task killer now, that lets me choose what apps to kill. hope this helps anyone else who comes across this.
