Hello,
1. Lately when I go to check voicemail my Eris screen goes blank and I can't enter my password. Sometimes I can move it an the screen lights up again, sometimes it doesn't. Voicemail is the only application that causes this problem. Using original voicemail widget.
2. Is there a way to select another button beside the Trackball to take a picture? It is hard to press the track ball and I get motion in the pictures (Blurry Pic)

1) What I do when my screen doesn't light up when accessing voicemail, I brush my finger over the top left corner where the sensor is. Maybe someone will have another idea, but that's what works for me.
2) You can also press and hold the screen to take a picture. I honestly think it's easier to use the trackball instead of hard pressing the screen though. But maybe it will work better for you.
