now to me, although i'm new to all this, sounds just like taskiller.  especially the one button to kill all tasks...that's the part i like about it best...i'll have to try "advanced" and do a good comparison...

One application I use and enjoy that I haven't seen anyone mention is zedge. They have ringtones and wallpapers which is nice. Another nice thing is it makes a zedge folder to access when you are adding ringtones.

I found an app that is pretty spiffy!  It's called "World Tour".  You can select different webcams from around the world and set them as your background.  Its pretty cool.  You can set the frequency that it updates to save battery life and such, and you can also set it to random so that every time it updates, it switches to a different cam.  Check it out!    Undecided

EDIT: Sorry about the less than flatering grammer and what not, class was almost over, as was my procrastonation on the forum hehe.

*Opera Mini Beta 5--Amazing, fastest browser I've used.
*Auto-Lock On/Off--Switch like the integrated Wi-Fi etc. but turns off the Pattern unlock Cheesy.
*Car Mode--When activated sends all incoming calls to speaker.
*Touiteur--Great Twitter app, full version has a widget too.
*AudioManager--Show and control system Volume.
*LookOut--Anti-virus-scans every downloaded app, back-up contacts, pictures and call log to their secure online database and recovery if lost, GPS and siren to alert you.
*Where's my droid--Finds your Eris if lost (like in a couch Grin) plays all sounds at full blast when a secret word is texted to it.
*Unit Converter(Looks like Apple app store icon XD)--Has everything under the rainbow to convert from or to ^^.
*TTS services extended--Text To Speech, useful if you have Handcent (which most do Smiley)
*Robotic guitarist--Can play and see how to play chords. Easy interface. Simple enough for beginners, but has enough to help an experienced guitarist Wink.
*RingDroid--I'm sure you've seen, heard of or used this before but if not, you can edit any music/media to become your ringtone/notification sound/alarm etc..
*Rhyme Finder--Nice if youre bored, writing (songs, poems etc.).
*My Verizon--See your usage (if you're limited in SMS/Calling) your bill, your last payment etc.
*MobileBuzz--A widget(of sorts) that shows the latest in Android, iPhone or gadget news.
*More Icons Widget-- http://www.droid-eris.com/android-applications/more-icons-widget-*pictures*/ forum post.
*Engadget--Gadget news from three site Wink.
*Delete Old Messages--Deletes your message threads if you didnt delete them(like I did Sad hah) it does take a while, but it's the only one i've used that works.
*SMS Quick delete--For those shorter threads(100-250ish) will delete 100+ within seconds.
*Clipper--Allows acces to your clipboard (which seems to be missing on the beloved Eris).
*App List--Creats a .txt file with the info of all of your apps, helpfull if upgrading to the 2.1 leak or just factory reseting the phone.

I think i'm done now haha...
 Yep  I am ^^

Here is a few more for ya guys...

Android and me widget: stay informed so you won't have to ask so many questions on the forums  Grin

Phandroid: similar to above without the widget, good read though

XDA: XDA developers app, not the best but it gets the job done

With these three apps you should be an Android expert in no time

I have been testing out Helixlauncher, it replaces sense, it is very nice with some great features but I have become somewhat addicted to the sense pinch zoom homescreen. Otherwise I dig this app.

Is this only for 2.1??
And another 2.1 question, what's better, leak or root??

I downloaded the leak before the 1Q2010 promise, hoping i wouldn't have to use it  Shocked.

Yep not listed on the market for 2.1.  I would assume the devos have not updated to work on 2.1.  Maybe someone with 1.5 can look for it on market and give you the developers email or phone to see if you can get refunded or if they an updated version coming out or a link to find how to download.

There are a couple of new apps out. I installed them and running well so far:

Official Twitter App for android
Skyfire Browser (Beta)

Also if anyone had the Nexus One Gallery App before & had the landscape not working issue, it works great now with the 2.1 Leak (V3)

Want to thank everyone here for suggesting some really cool Apps. I do have a list of my own I'd like to share.

Pandora - A must
Google Sky - Awesome
Waze - Funny little GPS App. I turn it on everytime I drive
Foursquare - Go to a location and check in.
Vignette - Great camera App. Well worth the price!
Direct TV
3 - MP3 player
Scanner Radio (The free one. Heard pay one is not that good)- Police scanner and so much more.
WeatherBug

I got the last two Apps last week. The other night when tornados where in Oklahoma I followed Ok. State Police on Scanner Radio and tracked the storms using Weatherbug radar, incredible!

Does anyone know of a good photo album. Been having trouble since day one with the stock one. Freezes up all the time and vacuums when trying to show someone a pic.

Anyone else out there have any good Apps?
