Hey all,
First and foremost, I wasn't for sure which forum to post this in, so I just went with the Apps (since the main subject is Skype). Now, the question is basically: How does Skype & Wi-Fi work [in conjunction] on cell phones (especially the pre-paid phones)?
I currently have a pre-paid plan through Verizon, which supports data transfer for internet. I recently bought a HTC Eris. From my understanding, I can use my wi-fi connection (if Im in a hotspot) to use Skype on, and save my mobile minutes. How exactly does that work? Do you have to somehow turn off your current cell phone plan's connection and activate Wi-Fi to use skype, or do you leave everything alone on your cell, open Skype, and it can differentiate if you're using your mobiles minutes or Skype's?
Sorry if I phrased this question a little confusing, but I don't fully understand how it all works. Any tips/advice is greatly appreciated!
