Found this article on a new keyboard which is supposedly coming available tomorrow.

Interesting, may give it the ole college try.

AWESOME! It seems weird but so did Swype and I fell in love with that (sorta). The major advantage I see is blind typing. That's something I've missed from my 1-9 slider a few years back.

Thanks for sharing Rip!

OK I got it. The concept is easy enough, it is just going to be hard to undo the years of typing on a regular keyboard and reprogram my brain to find the letters. Here are a couple screenies...

Pffffft... uninstalled. It shouldn't take me 2 minutes (literally) to type "hello, how are you".

Went to market and see that it is a paid app.  I thought for sure they were going to offer a free trial period first, then purchase to continue to use.

Read too many negative comments on 3 sites so far, so skipping this one for now.

I think a lot of negative comments stem from the fact that it is different and there is a huge learning curve. People just do not want to have to relearn a keyboard (as I didn't). Like I said, I uninstalled after playing with it for about 30 minutes. It was just too much for my hand eye coordination. I think it is an excellent concept, and people with large hands could benefit from this because of the gestures instead of having to tap the tiny letters IF those people want to take the time to relearn how to type.

I think a good way to learn this would be to have a paper outline so the user can easily see where the letters are.

I personally like the compact qwerty keyboard, but Pink Tazz doesn't offer it... =( I usually turn the phone sideways because the keys are bigger that way.

The learning curve did seem a bit too steep for me today.  I do wish they would offer a free trial first.  I do not have 24 hrs, as of now, to try and learn before requesting a refund.

Finally the devos of this app got smart.  The app is now free in the market, so you can give it a try for FREE!  Just downloaded and will see if its a keeper or a dud.

Right you are!

Someone might really like this app. I personally did not, there was just too much of a learning curve. I don't have time to relearn how to type, besides, I can type on my regular phone keyboard without swype (which i just stopped using, BTW) faster than i can type on my computer keyboard!

Thats funny because I have basically stopped using swype the past couple of days and found I can type faster than swyping.  Plus I am sik of swype not being able to predict my swyped words correctly and takes more time to get a dang text out.
