What I'm looking for:

1) can track my current position
2) has widget, that will follow said position
3) has the ability to add any US city (unlike our main weather app, which only adds major cities)
4) has just basic temperature and forcast.  I'd rather not have to weed through radars, weather alerts, etc.

Does anybody know of a weather app that is simple enough?  I've played with weatherbug, weather channel, but they're more high powered than I'm looking for.  I have weather widget free running at the moment, which will let me do what I want, except look at other cities.

If anybody can find me a good one, I'd greatly appreciate it!!!!

I know you have tried weatherbug but I figured I'd chime in anyway. I have tested MANY weather apps and weatherbug is the best by far. I like the widget because you can remove the background color so that it blends well with your hone screen.

hahahahaha

Ok, I've got it downloaded and playing with it.  I've got the free version, so question: at which point is it drawing data for the ads?  It's a bit slow on my phone (I'm not overclocked, just typical), and I wonder if buying the paid version will speed it up due to no ads, or if it'll be that way either way.

I have the free version so I am not sure about the ads.

The only thing I have noticed about weather bug, which bugs me  Cheesy , is when you reboot the phone.  It has to restart also of course and can delay a quick boot, since it has to update again.  I did not notice any lag before I rooted with it or any problems with ads drawing data.

You guys must be living right. I started off with Weatherbug right after rooting and it was wonderful except that it CRASHED every time time you tried to check the weather lol. I finally gave up and now use the Weather Channel widget. It's big but at least it behaves.

Weatherbug Elite by far is the best out there, I know it costs, but well worth it!

I've been using weather bug since this post, and I've come to like it.  It's a bit more hefty than I need, and the blue isn't exactly appealing, but it works nicely.  =D

Thank you all for your advice and help!  I love this forum!

if you get elite, you can change colors. I have mine set to transparent.

If you're talking about the widget, transparency is available in the basic version as well.  What I mean is the app itself.

I will also suggest weather elite. It is the best choice for most of the devices. They were giving some very good features which were very informative.
