is it really needed? is there any significant changes in battery life? cuz ive used it for quite awhile and i just uninstalled it recently cuz posts on others forums sayin it just restarts apps later on. Any tips?

Task killers kill your performance and battery life imo.

I totally agree with SikYou. There are several good tech articles out there supporting this approach.
As far as tips - Leave the apps that the phone runs on it's own alone - if you install apps watch their performance (for battery usage among other things) make sure you know how to close them properly.  Grin

Yep Sik and Monty are correct.  Everytime I hear about task killers my eyes go  Undecided Undecided Undecided.

I stopped using it  in January of this year and my phone runs much better.  The apps you kill with task killer  will start up again and again and again. Like beating a dead bug(or horse).  Let your phone do its thing and it will perform better.  On 2.1 you can check running services to see what may be hung up and draining battery life.
