Not to get off on a tangent... as VZW issues will most likely be in a different area... but you all should check out VZW website.  There it clearly states there is a 5GB (5,120MB) limit for the Mobile Broadband Connect-capable smartphones, BlackBerry devices and handsets.

http://www.verizonwireless.com/b2c/mobilebroadband/?page=plans&lid=//global//plans//mobile+broadband+plan

It also reads... 5 GB overage rate is $0.05/MB and 250 MB overage rate is $0.10/MB.

Just thought everyone should know.   Embarrassed

J.

I really dont think that you are using the "Mobile Broadband" on your phone when you acces the internet.  I may be completely wrong (and if i am please inform me that i am) but I think the link you provided if for a completley diffent plan than a cell phone plan.

i spoke to two different VZW reps on the phone last night...i called, asked and called back an hour later and asked again just to be safe...they SWEAR there is no cap and its unlimited...i read the fine print online as well in the contract...hell, i read every word of that contract three times last night and I dont see the 5GB cap and $.05 overage...where is this documented?  can you provide a link or a copy?

WOW...well now that you have done all that research, I will take back my post and say that the article I read was mistaken, the link for it is in the thread: "Unlimited Data".

HEEELLLPP!?!?!

So I'm new to the Eris and my wife was playing with it while I was out and about and she totaly fubared my settings.

I feel like a total newb, but I know about the aforementioned "scenes" but the phone isn't letting me confirm any.

I go to MENU>SETTINGS>PERSONALIZE>SCENES and the six scenes that come up (HTC, Social, Work, Play, Travel, and Clean Slate) aren't letting me confirm them.  I think this is what is messed up, but when I try to switch between any the home screen doesn't change.

The home screen now has a slide up shade with all the applications on it represented on the bottom of the screen instead of the three buttons.

Can anyone help?

Took it to Verizon, they said the phone had a *hiccup* and they had to do a hard reset.  Luckily I didn't have that much on my phone.

When you say No Comment, isn't that a comment?

There are plans with caps but in the case of the BB and smart phone the $30 extra charge is unlimited, the cap doesnt apply.

They have 2 plans, one is for 2gb and the other is 5gb and they are $15-$30 a plan if im not mistaken. These are plans for the non BB and smart phones.
