So last night i was on the verizon wireless website and seen that you can trade in phones.Out curiosity i put in my eris to see what it would be worth,i think it was a value of like 175 or something like that.Than i put in my g/f`s moto droid 2 and its trade in value was like 50 bucks....weird.

Looks weird, but it makes sense for their marketing policies.

If you can get $175 for an Eris, you will be more tempted to do the trade, get another device and do another two-year renewal.

For the Moto Droid 2, this will make the person more tempted to keep it.

Well, it is just my opinion ...

I go online to pay my bill but have never seen this before.  Is it somewhere after  you sign into your verizon account?

No need to login. Go to vzw.com, mouse over PHONES and from the huge drop down move to the right, and the last option is TRADE-IN.

Really nothing unless my phone dies.  Will wait till my upgrade in August and see what is new on the market.  New phones are coming in like a wild wind these days.  Just read that the droid 2 has been discontinued already.

Wise words. Wait until CES in January or Spring '11 before making a decision.

All new phones with LTE will be available, and believe me, it is even better than when we moved from 1xRTT to EVDO (3G).
