just an fyi,i've been experimenting with the stock 2.1 rom and did not know that it was possible but i was able to flash zanfurs kernel to oc and have wireless tither to,its like a custom rom but everything works,im very happy with it.not sure if anyone has tried this before i have not run into info on this,unless i missed it.

the custom kernel is over at xda there's a flashable update v3 this flashes the oc file and the files for tether,i just searched on google for zanfurs oc kernel and the xda thread link poped up,just uninstall set cpu first then flash the kernel and also nandroid back up before flashing. The wireless tether app i got from the market.
