so instead of running task killer,i just go to settings than apps than manage apps than i select running and force stop.is that how anyone else does that?

Yes if there is something you want to stop running.  I rarely use this anymore.

Or you can root to Froyo where it has an auto killer. Smiley just sayin

I set autokiller to strict. My memory never gets lower than 50mb

I was using AutoKiller for a while and while I agree with the design principle, I still found that without it my phone ran faster.

yeah i took task kller of my eris and my phone does run faster my battery also seems to last longer.
