Can anybody tell me the max SD card size that the Eris can handle?  I'm seeing conflicting reports all around the web that go between 16MB and 32.  Anybody know the REAL answer?

Thanks in advance!

You actually use one - very cool, can't argue with that!  Thanks guy .. with these very cool iTunes sync apps out there mine my Eris is replacing my iPod completely, so wanted all the music space I can get.

Thanks again!

Not a problem.  My workouts aren't long enough for that to be an issue.  But the Eris serves SO well on my workouts, running CardioTrainer, a car finder, and bTunes ... the lure of all on one device is too great.

Ah formatting .. didn't think of that either!   The phone will prompt me if I insert an unformatted card, right?

You have me scared Monty but it is a 32gb sandisk  micro sdhc. Just pulled it that's what it says on the lil guy its also partition in half so it tricks the phone thinking its only 16gb

According to the initial release specs, the removable storage controller for the HTC Droid Eris (HTC Desire C project) is able to control any card compliant with microSD HC standard. This means the phone can support the 32G cards.

However, many cards on the market are only loosely compliant with the standard, so look for a well known brand if you are putting your money on 32G. Sandisk or Kingston are the ones I use.

Just to add to Adam you need to format it by the phone not the PC if using a 32gb.. here is where I got mine from. http://shop.ebay.com/items/sandisk+32gb+micro?_dmd=1&_sop=12&rvr_id=153946154161&crlp=5188874047_304542_304562&UA=M*S%3F&GUID=a8c8b0a612b0a02684b20f52ffdce5c3&agid=1530240577&tm_kw=sandisk+32gb+micro&siteid=0&MT_ID=69&tt_encode=raw&keyword=sandisk+32gb+micro&geo_id=1&ff4=304542_304562

Ok guys, got the card but - nada.  Won't format.  Ordered from Amazon (sorry, order was here before I saw the eBay link just now).  I unmounted the 8GB, inserted the 32, got the format prompt and said yes.  Nothing' shappening.  Icon at the top of the notification bar has a question mark in it.  I've tried the format command a couple of times and nothing happens at all.

Help - any ideas?
