With the upgrade to 2.1v3, has anyone got the bluetooth file transfer working? I tried the bluetooth transfer program from the market but no luck. The program sees the phones but it never connects.

Anyone suggestions?

Thanks

The last I read on bluetooth transfer is that the phone had to be rooted in order to enable it. I assume it has to do with some file permission's issue with the files stored in the phone's memory.

Are you using a particular app to do this?

I saw that this leak (v3) had bluetooth file transfer enabled but maybe it was wrong. I was trying the bluetooth File transfer program available in the market and it goes great untill you try to connect.

They just updated "Bump" app to allow app transfers between phones so I will use that for now.

Thanks Monty

NP-

I've played around with the Medieval Bluetooth File Transfer app a few times but not much luck. Everything links up fine but but the Obex services never really start on the PC side. Seems like (at least in Leak 3) that the phone has no way to authenticate to the PC and at least with the PC software I'm using (on Windows 7 Ultimate 64) authentication is required.

Personally if you really want to transfer files wirelessly (and you have access to an FTP server) using AndFTP is the way to go.
