Sadly...yes....I'm hoping with the D2 coming out people will be looking to get that and hopefully selling their Eris. I just signed a 2 year contract for the phone and now that it's broke I'm screwed. Yep, I can get a broken one for around $60 and try to do the same repair again or I can buy one that works fine or is new for $125-$180. Just don't know what to do.
