Okay, I updated to 2.1 a few days ago and it was working fine.
But yesterday, my phone died before I could get it to the charger and today, when I turned it on, it wouldn't boot up. It gets stuck on this white screen with three skateboarding androids. It is still stuck on that screen, even after about 5 hours.

Anyone else have this problem? Any suggestions?
Hey did you get this resolved?  If so what did you do?  I would have pulled the battery asap.

Hi - I upgraded to 2.1 on Sat and the only initial issue I noticed were my contacts missing. I read the warning that it would happen, so no surprise there. My biggest complaint is that my bluetooth in my car doesn't work anymore with the Droid. I've had the phone for over 3 mos w/o a single issue, and now it doesn't stay connected. I have tried to re-pair the connection to no avail. It says 'Bluetooth headset connected" for about 5 secs, then switches to 'Bluetooth headset disconnected". Any ideas??? So frustrated  Cry Please help!!

Cindy have you tried rebooting your phone then connecting your bluetooth back up?

Is there a shortcut to lock the phone other than waiting the set time?  I had it set up using the power button but can't find anything for 2.1.

Gabriella try shutting off the phone then when you power up hold the poswer button and volume up. it will take you to a boot menu. Dont do anything with the buttons, just pull the battery out while its on.

put the battery back and start the phone as normal. see if it fixes your issue

You can manually install the update direct from google. Click below for file and instructions.

This should get you back up and running..

We are like kids with a new toy ... an so I sit patiently, waiting for the sun to set on my home page at 9:35pm its remaining sunny and 52 degrees :-)    Tried the refresh and still sunny.   I'm not believing it.

Earlier:
I was taking pics after my granddaughters birthday party and everything went funky. The camera (while taking a photo) reverted back to a home screen that included a keyboard displayed and the notification bar on top  began dancing  quickly through many different notification symbols.

I was slightly shaken, but not stirred.
Things that make ya go hmmmmmm.

Don

Tried it, but it still doesn't boot up. Still stuck on the same screen. But I'll leave it and maybe it will boot up after a while.

My touch screen has a lag time ever since I uploaded the newer version.  Is there any way to fix this?  Also, sometimes when I go into different applications it bombs out and takes me back to my homescreen.  It didn't do this before the 2.1 update.

I'm with debbie24. Lag Lag and more Lag, keyboard, touch screen, web browser, messages, home key, back button. Ever since the 2.1 update. Its driving me nuts. Also certain contacts in my favorites keep reverting back to not being synced with Facebook and have even lost what default function I have set for that contact a few times now. Doesn't save some of my passwords like before. Message count will not clear after have been read at times. Signal keeps fluctuating between 1x and 3G. Kinda makes me want 1.5 back. Never had any of these problem with it. Sorry for the rant. Just had to vent. Almost ready to go back to my reliable dumbphone LG Dare! Sad

I'm sorry you're both having issues like these.  I can say with confidence something is going on in the phone that isn't supposed to, since most people are reporting an increased speed of the phone, overall.
Try these tips:
Reboot the phone, power the phone off completely, you can take out the battery, too, and then power it back on.  This has fixed many small buggy issues with other people.

Go into your Menu > Settings > Applications > Manage Applications and any application that shows larger that 1MB, tap it, and hit Clear Cache if that button is available and lit up.

These two things will clear most of the miscellaneous running processes off your phone and allow it to focus on what you are actually trying to make it do.

I have had nothing but increased speed, disappearing lag and a great time since my upgrade.

Best of luck!
